Pre-Clinical Sleep-Wake Measures

Sleep-Wake studies are performed in rodents to assess the acute sedative/wake promoting actions of compounds. Studies include recording of EEG/EMG in animals housed individually in sound attenuated chambers. Compounds are delivered without disturbing the animals. Deliverables from these studies include:

Slow wave sleep, Light Sleep, Paradoxical sleep, Quiet waking, Active Waking

Latency to Sleep Stage Onset or Waking
